Review| Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Hello my lovelies,

I feel that drugstore foundations don’t get reviewed as much as the higher end brands so I thought I would treat everyone and have a talk about a foundation that I have found whilst browsing the likes of Boots. For me, as I have got older I have struggled to find foundations that work for me. I have developed an oily complexion which is just great! I used to be able to pick up near enough any foundation and it would work, now it’s a blooming hard job to find one I like and actually does the job I need. I have tried the likes of high end right down to the cheapest brands on the hunt to find the perfect foundation..

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation I picked up a good few months ago and after a lot of applications I thought I would share my thoughts with you. For reference I picked up the shade 103 True Ivory, although I’m not crazy pale I’m not blessed with the best skin tone. The colour is actually a really good match for my skin tone – I do sometimes struggle with colour matching as the artificial lights in the shop never give a true colour shade! I love that nearly all of the Rimmel foundation’s come in a glass bottle, it makes it more durable and more desirable to use as they just look that much better than a tube.

Another must for me is a pump, this whole pouring malarkey is not for me. I always manage to pour way too much so I never really buy foundation without a pump or I have to buy one. Another plus is that is has SPF 20 in, this is something that I really do look out for in a foundation. In the winter months you can still damage your skin from the sun when it makes an appearance so to know I don’t have to put another product on my face every day is a winner for me!

I use around two pumps on my face for full coverage, I would say this is a medium coverage foundation but is buildable depending on what your preference is. Now what actually drew me to this foundation was the claim of ‘pore blurring’ doesn’t everyone want this!? Now I don’t have the biggest pores in the world but they are visible so anything to minimise this is a winner from me. I also really love how lightweight the foundation is on my skin, it never looks cakey and stays in place for a good 10 hours.

I find that this foundation works well both with a brush or a beauty blender, there isn’t no major difference both do the same job. Which is great because I do like to mix up my applicators – it gets boring using the same thing!

However, as much as the application is great and feels nice it doesn’t work with my skin. This is not for us oily girls – as soon as I apply this I have a shiny forehead. I do think this is my fault as I didn’t pay much attention to the whole ’24 hour moisture’ BUT having said that I don’t expect it to be making my skin look visibly worst as soon as I apply it. When powdered it does look good but the whole topping up with powder is a massive must for this foundation – this is not for me.

I don’t find that it makes any difference to my pores, they look exactly the same so it’s major selling point just doesn’t do anything for me. I don’t know if because I’m oily it counteracts this but seriously I’m not that oily! It’s gutting because I actually really like everything else about this foundation and I have applied this so many time and still to this day I’m undecided as to whether I can see past it’s flaws or not.

If you have dry skin then I’m more than 80% sure that you will enjoy this, I’m clearly the idiot that didn’t pick up on the whole moisture part. It’s annoying because the foundation itself and the texture is amazing I just wish it was more of a mattifying foundation because actually it isn’t that dewy.

I’m so undecided about this – I do think I will use the rest of the bottle because I don’t completely hate this. I just have to powder an awful lot before I leave the house. I don’t think I would repurchase and I think going forward I will be reading the whole bottle before I commit to buying foundation. You live and learn right!

Let me know if you have tried this foundation and what your thoughts are – I would love to know. Also, any oil control/mattifying foundations that you love send them my way!

Top 3 // Liquid Eyeliners

Hello my lovelies,

Eyeliner is a part of make up that I cannot live without. I always line my eyes with liner I just feel as though it creates definition and completes any eyeshadow look. However, I have never mastered the art of winged eyeliner. I just think it’s not for when I have actually winged the eyeliner out my eyes look so small, I just don’t think it suits me. However over the years I have found that liquid eyeliners are the best for me, with regards to application and the application on my eyes beats the likes of any pencil or gel liner. So I thought I would share with you my favourite ones that are constantly in my collection.

Soap & Glory – Supercat Liquid Black Eyeliner Pen see here

I have loved this for the longest time. It is one of the only Soap and Glory products that I actually love and constantly repurchase. It does have a fairly thick nib but actually unless you are extremely heavy handed you can still create those skinny fine lines that everyone longs for. The pigmentation is amazing, I mean I know there isn’t officially different shades of black but this really is jet black.

It’s the perfect eyeliner to sweep across your lids, it never feels like your dragging your lids at all. Another plus is that I never find that it never smudges and never moves throughout the day. I use this one so often because for the price it’s great and seems to last the longest time. I do feel that sometimes liquid eyeliners are prone to drying out quickly but not this one!

Collection – Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner see here

This was my first love when it came to the world of liquid eyeliner. When you first try something that is out of your comfort zone I always go for a cheap one to see if I actually like the product and as soon as I applied this for the first time I was converted from pencil eyeliner to liquid. It does absolutely everything I want and more. It wears beautifully and I never feel as though it fades throughout the day. The application is a breeze and feels as though you aren’t even touching your lids.

This is such a fast drying formula as well is that you don’t have to wait a while for the liner to dry before you continue on with the rest of your makeup, it just stays there all day. I have repurchased this so many times and although I have more expensive liners I will always have this in my collection because it is such good value for money. I urge everyone if you like liquid liners or wanting to try it out to head to your nearest Collection stand and pick it up – you won’t regret it!

Kat Von D – Tattoo Liner in Trooper Black see here

Last but by no means least a product that had to feature in my top 3. This really is a product that has been around the beauty world for the longest time and it is the most recent find of the 3. I actually have a full size and a mini version of this, because – well why not! This eyeliner really does stand up to the name of being a tattoo liner, it just stays in place all day. I would say that you do need to give this a little time to dry, so just bare that in mind.

This liner is different to the other two I have mentioned in the sense that rather than in being a pen the nib is actually made up of very fine brush hairs which means it’s a lot easier to work with if creating winged eyeliner. I would say as much as I love these  when I have all three on the back of my hand this is the least pigmented of the three, but this is easily built up.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I love all three and I know that I couldn’t be without them! I know I will be repurchasing them for a long time. Let me know whether you have tried any of these three out and what your thoughts are on them – I would love to know. Also, any recommendations to try out new liquid eyeliners would be appreciated!

Review| Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

Hello my lovelies,

This palette has been

reviewed to high heaven and I have seen so many bloggers talk about this, I thought it was about time I gave my opinion. ABH is a brand that until I brought this palette I had never ventured into before. I’m not sure why maybe because it wasn’t readily available or because it didn’t seem that interesting and mainly sold eyebrow products. When I discovered Cult Beauty I saw this palette, looked at it and thought I want that. It is one of the most expensive palettes I have ever purchased and I thought it was about time to let you know whether it is worth the splurge.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I brought the palette to broaden my horizons in eyeshadow, for me I always stick to the same colours – the nudes with a bit of glitter in my eyes it can’t go wrong. I knew I needed to mix it up and I thought why not spend lots of money on colours that I may or may not like, smart! The packaging was the first thing that drew my eye to it who doesn’t want this pinky/purple palette in their collection. It’s suede feeling which is nice and white writing. Simple yet effective! However, although it looks nice it’s a bugger to keep clean as you can tell from my photo.

It’s not travel friendly in that way and it is really annoying me because I don’t know how to keep it clean. Its sturdy but not practical for heavy handed people like me. You may or may not care about this but it’s good to bear in mind. Personally I don’t mind it just ruins the aesthetics a little but I can see past that. The major plus is that you open it up and is has a mirror – I’m sold on this point alone. I hate palettes that don’t have a mirror – extremely unhelpful.

Now onto the eye shadows themselves. The palette is a mix of beautiful brown shades along with glitter AND orange and pink shades. At first the whole pink shade scared me, how do you even begin to pull this off. I don’t want to look like a 10 year old trying make up for the first time. I will be honest and say I didn’t use them for a few months BUT I watched a few tutorials and I was sold I can now wear pink eyeshadow and for it to look half decent!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

You can really create so many different looks in this palette, it’s so versatile which is what I love about it. Whether you want a natural look or all out smokey there is something for everyone and every occasion. The shadows themselves are AMAZING, a lot better than Urban Decay I really think they are the best I have ever tried. They are pigmented, easily blendable, creamy and zero fall out. What more could you want? Every single shade I have used in this palette and this is something I very rarely find with a palette. I always end up leaving a few that just aren’t my cup of tea but not this selection.

I’m just in love and actually I don’t really have a bad word to say about this product. Apart from the packaging that isn’t travel friendly but hey nothing is perfect. I don’t regret a single penny I spent on this, it’s absolutely beautiful and I know I will be using this for a long time. I really understand why people adore this because I feel exactly the same. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone I just can’t explain my love. This really is a game changer in the world of eyeshadow. I never thought anything could top Urban Decay shadows but I really was wrong.

ABH is a brand that I will be definitely be taking more seriously in the beauty world. I really do need to try out more of their products because it isn’t anything like this eye shadow palette I feel like I’m going to love a lot more. Let me know what you would recommend for me! Also let me know if you have this palette and what you think of it! I picked my palette up from Cult Beauty

September Favourites

Hello my lovelies

Another month is over and done with, I can’t actually quite get over we are officially now in autumn! My countdown to Christmas is well and truly on & I cannot wait. I have actually already been listening to Christmas songs, whoops! This September has been one of the best months of the year, I went to Paris with my boyfriend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. I then went and brought myself a brand new car, yes brand new. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’m completely in love. Let’s hope October will be as good as September!

Onto the beauty though, enough about my life, I have rediscovered some very old but good products this month. Along with enjoying some of my recent purchases. Autumn/Winter is my favourite time for beauty, a dark lip really is my favourite and who doesn’t want more face masks in their life!?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

PS Velvet Matte Lipstick Crayon in Wine

For some reason I forgot to add this in the main picture, whoops! What is ever more annoying is that because it’s a Primark product I can’t link it for you. I brought this quite a while ago wanting to try their make up out because 1. it’s cheap and 2. there is always hype around Primark makeup. I thought the best thing to try out is a lip product and I fell in love with the colour. As the name of the colour suggests it is a red wine shade with purple undertones, my FAVOURITE. I thought I’d try it back out recently because I couldn’t remember if I liked it or not. My oh my, it’s amazing. Seriously it’s so easy to apply and extremely creamy.

It’s a matte finish but isn’t drying at all on the lips, it really is comfortable and it doesn’t budge. I just flipping love it I think I paid £1/£2 for this and it’s probably the best money I have spent ever. It’s flipping good and even rivals my NARS lip crayons which is quite a statement to make. I seriously need to get back to Primark and hope they still have this range and pick up more colours. So damn impressive. Hello number 1 autumn shade of 2017!

MUA – Mosaic Blush in English Rose

Sadly I think this has been discontinued which has really upset me. I have had this for blooming ages, I probably shouldn’t keep it but as I was sorting out my makeup recently I saw this and knew I needed to start wearing it again. It is the perfect neutral blush when you don’t want anything to overpowering. Although I wear blush I don’t always like it to be very noticeable and this is the perfect shade for creating that little flush of colour. I don’t know how I haven’t hit pan on this because I have used it so much over the years. Amazing product and I’m sure I would of paid no more than £3 for this, what a bargain!

Collection – Contour Kit see here

I really love contouring, but I’m the sort of person that just sticks to the same product because it works for me. I picked up a few months ago this contour kit as I thought it was about time I mixed it up but I didn’t really use it. This month I thought it was time to give it a go and the contour shade I am in LOVE with. For the price it really is impressive. It is the perfect colour for my skin tone and creates the perfect contour. I don’t use the highlight it isn’t really for me but that doesn’t bother me because even the contour shade alone is such good value for money. If you are on the hunt for a new contour product, head over to Collection!

Soap & Glory – Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder in Totally Translucent see here

Setting powders as a whole don’t really excite me, very few I have been wowed by. Luckily this one I have enjoyed for a while now and I thought I would share it with you. I always try to go for translucent powders as I usually don’t want any more colour to my face I just need it to control my oil! This is quite a thick powder which I really love and works well for oily/combination skin. You seriously don’t need to put a lot on your brush a little goes a long way! I just love the powder and it really does the job, I don’t even feel like I need to touch up during the day because this does such a good job of controlling oil. Seriously impressed!

L’Oreal – Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll in Black see here

I brought this in my most recent Boots Haul and I cannot stop using it. It’s amazing! I would say this is on par with Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara at literally a fraction of the price. It created the perfect amount of volume and lengthens as well. I’m all up for volume, who doesn’t!? The packaging I love, the brush just everything about it. I know this is going to be a firm favourite for a long time. If you haven’t tried this out yet – you need to especially if you love a volumising mascara. I will be doing a more in depth review of this soon so keep your eyes peeled!

MAC – Pigment in Blue Brown see here

I have wanted this for the longest time I mentioned it in a wishlist post and my birthday list and no one had brought it for me. When I was in Brighton on a sister day we went into MAC and found they do a smaller version of this and I knew I had to buy it. This seriously didn’t disappoint in any way. This is true eyeshadow love. It’s perfect there is no fall out and the pigmentation is incredible. The colour is just out of this world, in different lights the pigment changes colour it has the most beautiful shine and I’m just in love. I seriously want to get my hands on more of these pigments because they are incredible!

Sephora – Triple Action Gentle Makeup Remover Gel

For whatever reason I can’t seem to find it on the Sephora website, but I picked this up in Paris. To find out what else I brought while I was there see here I must say, this product really interested me. A gel to remove makeup, strange right? But don’t knock it ’till you have tried it. It seriously is impressive at removing makeup, my eye makeup just comes right off like a dream along with my face products. I just love using it and is the perfect alternative when I don’t want to use a cleanser – it even comes with a pump guys! Sephora you have well and truly impressed me with this product and when this runs out I need to somehow go back to a country that has a Sephora so I can buy it again!

PS Master Eye Palette

Another Primark product, sorry again no link! I picked this up pretty recently in my local Primark as I was drawn to the colours and I thought for £6 it would be rude not to try it. I have used it in the past couple of weeks and I am in love. This is the perfect autumn palette and is right up my street. The shadows are really pigmented and blend perfectly with one another. I can see myself using near enough every colour in this palette which doesn’t normally happen for me! All I would say is go to your local Primark and go pick it up I really don’t think you will be disappointed.

That’s all guys! Let me know if you have used any of these products and what your thoughts are on them – I’d love to know!

REVIEW // Benefit They’re Real Double The Lip

Hello lovelies,

Benefit, for me this is brand that although I have a fair few products from them which I like using it isn’t one of my favourite brands. For example I adore their Hoola bronzer, blush’s and their mascaras aren’t bad. But, they never seem to impress me with their lipstick or eye-shadows. Earlier this year, I had my make up done by a Benefit MUA which was a lovely experience. I wanted to see what a full face of Benefit looked like, the time of year I had it done they were launching these new lip products. The lipstick lover I am I knew I had to try them out – a lip liner and lipstick in one, interesting concept right? The question is does it work..

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I actually got the mini’s as at the time it worked out better to get two of the mini’s as opposed to just one – no brainer right? They are sleek and I love the fact the product is twist up, no need for sharpening a pencil or anything. For a lip product though the packaging is a little boring.. Especially for a bright, young brand like Benefit. The lid slips off really easy and I would really worry about putting these in my handbag because it is flimsy and no one wants lipstick all over their bag!

The shades I have are: Pink Thrills and Revved-Up Red – so a pink and a red. Pink Thrills is a blue toned pink as the main lipstick and a deep purple shade as the liner. The Red is a pinky red as the main lipstick and a deep red as the liner. The lipstick bullet is shaped in a tear drop shape, with the tip of the tear drop to go on the outer part of your lips to line with the deeper shade – logical right?

I applied this having high hopes that it would save me in the time applying one lip product instead of two – I’m all up for saving time! However, it’s a bit of a bugger to apply.. You obviously have to make sure that as you apply this you are applying in the right way with the darker shade on the outer part of your lip – it’s just a bit of a hassle.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

The product doesn’t apply as two colours, in fact they just all merge into one. Which actually is a good thing as you don’t want to completely different colours on your lips but I would like definition on the lips and it to be slightly darker on the outer part of my lips. It just makes the two different colours in the bullet near on pointless.

I don’t feel as though my lips are lined at all which what I do every time I apply anything on my lips – I like definition and it guarantees the the colour will stay longer on the lips. The longevity of this formula is pretty standard, nothing to write home about anyway. I just find it all rather pointless.

Don’t get me wrong the formulation of the lipsticks are lovely, they are comfortable and creamy. Perfect if you struggle with dry lips or do not want a matte finish. For me I like a matte finish so I was disappointed about that but I can’t hold this against them mainly mine for buying them.

I just think I am disappointed overall – the idea sounded good on paper but it really didn’t perform for me. They are just very standard lip products which for me are very overpriced. I wouldn’t buy any more, they aren’t my cup of tea. I just don’t think this has worked for Benefit and it is a very disappointing launch from them. It’s a shame but they are not renown for lipsticks so for me it’s not the end of the world. I really don’t reach for them ever, for me a waste of money..

Let me know what your thoughts on these are – I am sure there are people out there that really like these. They just didn’t excite me in the slightest, sorry Benefit!

Empties #9

Hello my lovelies,

Back again with yet another empties post, I can’t believe how quickly I am getting through products at the moment it’s really crazy. This one I am happy with is a mix of skincare, makeup and even a little hair care thrown in – what more can I ask for? These posts always go on for a little while so I recommend you grab a snack and a hot drink for the journey!

Garnier – Skin Active Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Antioxidant Moisturiser see here

I’m actually really sad I have used this up already. I love this product so much, I mean I haven’t found a moisturiser I have liked this much in such a long time. I adore it and I seriously need to repurchase this ASAP. I use a pump and a half of this and I’m good to go for the whole day. It is super hydrating and is everything you want and more in a moisturiser. I seriously can’t recommend this enough especially as it retails for the bargain price of £7.99! I have actually written a full review here if you would like more detail on the product.

Benefit – Ka Brow in Shade 4 see here

I loved this product for a long time around 2 years ago – I was obsessed and this was one of the only products I used on my brows. It gave me a defined brow which I absolutely loved and I was addicted. It got to a point where I thought I would branch out a little as I had used it for so long and all of a sudden I forgot about this. When I came to use it a few weeks ago I realised it has all dried up. I have actually gone out a brought a new one of these so I am hoping my love for this will be reignited. The product itself is amazing but I don’t think it is for everyone for me this doesn’t provide a ‘natural’ brow look so if that is was you are looking for then this product is not for you.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Freedom – Duo Brow Powder in Dark Brown see here

Another brow product, I know! I picked this up a few months ago when I was looking to try out Freedom products as I hear a lot of good things about them and it was only £3 – BARGAIN!. A month after having this I dropped it and the powder smashed. I have tried to use it but it’s just not the same and I think it is time I said goodbye to this product. It’s absolutely brilliant, it’s everything I want and more in a eyebrow product. It’s fairly pigmented and creates a natural brow look but obviously can be built depending on what your preference is.

I have no fault in this product whatsoever, I have actually repurchased this but in the shade lighter as I thought it was just a tad too dark for me and made my brows look too harsh. I would seriously recommend this product whatever your budget is – seriously a lot cheaper than the ABH brow duo powder!

MAC – Prowear Paint Pot in Painterly see here

I have had this in my collection for a long time and again it has dried up and I think it is about time I gave this one up. I was OBSESSED with this to use for priming my eyes around 2 years ago. It was the only product I would use and it was the perfect shade to create a clear base for my eyelid ready for eyeshadow, for whatever reason I stopped using it and now it has all dried up.

MAC’s paint pots really are amazing and come in so many different colours, I would go have a look at their shade range I do have a few more in my collection that I use fairly often. They are seriously long wearing and are perfect for building an eye look. I will be keeping this and putting this away with my other empty products so I can exchange my ‘Back to MAC’ products for a new eyeshadow or lipstick!

Tony Moly – Seaweed Mask Sheet see here

I definitely did not pay £5 for this, I actually picked mine up in Homesense/ TKMAXX. They have quite a lot of the range of sheet masks at £2 each which I think is much more affordable. I’m still deciding whether I like sheet masks or not. I mean while I have it on I really don’t think it is doing much for my skin. My skin has been quite bad this month and I have wanted to try new things this month like this mask to try and get rid of redness and awful spots.

Weirdly the next day I noticed such a difference in my skin so maybe it does do something it just has to sink into the skin for a longer period of time? I don’t know whether I would repurchase this.. I do have quite a few other Tony Moly masks to use so I’ll be sure to let you know what my overall opinion is soon enough.

MAC – Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NW15 see here

This is one of my all time favourite foundations, as soon as I tried it many years ago I fell in love. It is everything I want in my foundation: medium coverage (which is buildable), matte finish, long lasting – what more could a girl want? The shade is a perfect match for me and I think this is my 4th bottle of this stuff and I am already using another because I know I can’t live without it. I have mentioned this in my Top 3 – High End Foundations so you can read that post as to why I love it in more detail.

Seriously though, I would really recommend you try this foundation if you haven’t already. Another empty product to go in my ‘Back to MAC’ pile!

Garnier – Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water see here

Anyone that knows me, knows that I absolutely swear by this product. It is the only micellar water I use and will continue to use for the foreseeable future. It does exactly what I want it to do and I just find it so easy. It doesn’t irritate my skin in anyway and I LOVE that it now comes in a 700ml bottle it just means that I don’t have to buy it as much. This really is a holy grail product that I simply cannot live without. I already have a new one open and I know I will need to buy a new one soon because I constantly live in fear that for whatever reason I may run out!

TRESemme – Moisture Rich Conditioner see here

I didn’t actually pay £26.99 for the pair – I actually paid £12 from Costco, I know BARGAIN. Anyway I haven’t finished the shampoo yet just the conditioner which really annoys me! However, I have used this for the LONGEST time, maybe around 6 months and I jumped for joy when I finished it. It seemed to go on for the longest time and I got bored of it. I think because I used the same thing day in day out that my hair became resistant to the effects.

Although I like this product, it will be a while before I repurchase this as I think my hair needs a break from it! I would note that it is a very rich and heavy product so great for dry hair like mine but do be wary!

Johnson’s – Baby Shampoo see here

This may seem a weird product to some but this is the product I use to clean my makeup brushes. If it’s good enough for babies it’s good enough for my brushes! I have been using this stuff for around 5 years now and I would never change, it does the job I need to. Cleans my brushes & is able to get them feeling nice and soft again. I see people pay a lot of money on brush cleaners but you really don’t need to they all do the same job and this works equally as well if not better. Don’t worry guys I already have another one of these waiting in the wings ready for my next brush cleaning session!

Review – Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Range

Hello my lovelies,

I’m back with another skincare post, for me skincare is so important not just for your face but for your whole body. For your skin to feel smooth, hydrated and soft – you just can’t beat it. Palmer’s over the summer have recently launched their Coconut Oil Formula range which I was lucky to receive part of their range to try out. Palmer’s for me are a brand renown for being kind to skin and always strive to hydrate the skin and ensure it is in the best possible condition.

When I was asked to try out some of the new range infused with coconut oil I just thought it would be rude not to! We all know coconut oil is an incredible ingredient not just in the beauty world but even down to adding it to food! I’m a big lover of coconut the smell and I just thought it was perfect to try out and to obviously report back to my lovely readers.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

The range as a whole is targeted getting moisture back into the skin, which is always a big thing to me and I am sure a lot of other people. The coconut oil is also formulated with Vitamin E which is great as this is an antioxidant! All the range contains no parabens, no gluten and no sulfates which is a massive bonus as there are a lot of products on the market that have so many artificial ingredients and half the time you don’t know what you are putting onto your skin!

So as a whole the products are pretty fab – they are scented which is mainly coconut (obviously) but it is lightly fragranced and nothing too overpowering. I do find with lightly fragrenced products that the smell doesn’t linger around too long which for me is a shame because it’s half the reason I apply body moisturisers!   However, this is different and I presume because it is coconut oil it is long lasting. There is nothing better than getting a waft of your skin halfway through the day – I know this sounds weird but trust me I’m sure you know what I am on about!

All the products easily absorb into the skin, there is no waiting around for 10 minutes waiting for the product to sink into the skin so you can put some clothes on. For me this is a massive bonus – a lot of products I use I sit around aimlessly waiting. Valuable minutes lost in life! Another note to add is that all the products have left me with smooth, supple skin and not just for a few hours this is a constant thing!

Coconut Oil – Body Cream

So this I treat as a body butter, as it’s in a tub it’s easy to get out but I would say it is more like a cream in consistency – but remember a little goes a long way! I use this around 3 times a week and apply when I get out of the shower of an evening. A little pamper after the shower, it leaves me feeling so fresh and it perfect to apply while you have a face mask on. I always feel like it’s a treat to put this on because it just feels so luxurious and does wonders to my skin. I think this one is my favourite, only just though!

I this think this is because it’s more rich, it contains 3 different oils. Of course the first is coconut oil, the 2nd is Monoi Oil which hydrates & pampers and finally sweet almond oil which soothes and comforts skin. What more could you want from a body cream!?

Coconut Oil – Body Lotion

This is something I use on a daily basis and actually I have included it in my daily morning routine. I can’t leave the house without applying this to at least my legs and arms, it just makes me feel ready for the day. I think people really do underestimate what smooth hydrated skin really does to you. I feel like a more put together woman in the morning and I always get asked about what I apply because it just smells so damn good!

Coconut Oil – Body Oil

For me, oil is something I have a love hate relationship with. Overall I have never really been a fan. I just feel as though they are too rich and they never sink into my skin properly. But, the girl I am I have to try everything. I was expecting not to like this as a lot of oils I have tried just don’t work for me and my skin. However, I was completely surprised that I fell in love with it.

Now it isn’t something I use that often mainly because I like to save this for those all out pamper evenings. You know where you go all out on a Sunday afternoon/evening where you paint your nails, wash your hair, face mask, complete skincare routine and obviously moisturise. Well this oil is now part of my pamper routine. It really is a luxury product after I have applied it I feel like I’m adulting well, my life is blooming good and ready for the week ahead. Who doesn’t love some pamper time!?

Overall I love these products and don’t really have a bad word about them. I would seriously go and try these out they aren’t your average range of products I promise you and if you love the scent of coconut then it truly is a win win!

Go check out their full range of the coconut oil range here – I really want to try the shampoo and conditioner now, watch this space! Do let me know if you have tried this range and what your thoughts are – I would love to know!

Top 3: Liquid Lipsticks

Hello my lovelies,

I’m a massive lipstick lover, and in more recent years liquid lipsticks. They have really become a massive thing in the beauty world and a complete game changer. I can’t complete a makeup look without lipstick, for me it’s a complete necessity. In my time I have tried and awful lot of different liquid lipsticks, my lips have been through a lot! I have found 3 formulations of lipsticks that I absolutely adore and now I can’t be without which I thought I would share with you guys.

NYX – Lingerie Liquid Lipstick see here

The shade I have is 10 – Teddy which is a gorgeous true brown shade. The shade is absolutely beautiful and is perfect what I want to rock a brown lip which I would say is a lot of the time. The whole brown lip trend I have completely and utterly gone for I just love it and if I’m honest brown is mainly the shade that is on my lips.

The packaging is pretty standard for a liquid lipstick with a flat doe foot applicator – the ease of applying this is incredible. With some liquid lipsticks I do feel sometimes I have to use a lip liner to create precise lines, I really don’t need it for this one – winning, one less product to use! This formula is beautiful and is not drying at all on the lips it sits comfortably on the lips and dries quite quickly. It stays ALL day and wears beautifully. I have actually done a full review on this here so if you would like a little more detail then head on over! I seriously need to get more colours of this because I just love the formula!

Kat Von D – Everlasting Liquid Lipstick see here

The shade I have in this is Lovesick, which looks pretty pink in the tube but actually has purple tones to it which creates a beautiful pinky/mauve shade on the lips. When I received this as a freebie from Kat Von D at IMATS I was happy I had a liquid lipstick as it is something they are renown for, but I wasn’t happy with the shade. However, the person I am I try everything and I’m so glad I did because I fell in love. The shade is just beautiful and I really think it complements my skin tone. The application is again very easy but I do like to use a lip liner with this just to help it out a little.

The longevity of this lipstick is incredible – I just love it. I love everything about it and I am so happy that I have got my hands on it, as I love this one I have recently brought another in a brown – yes I know I have an addiction! Seriously Kat Von D have got the formulations perfect on this one and the shade range is really quite impressive. I wear this so much and for a girl that doesn’t really like pink this has completely won me over!

L’Oreal – Lip Paint/Matte

I have the shade 212 Nude-Ist, which is beautiful brown toned purple/mauve shade. I recently picked this up in Boots to see what the drug store had to offer in the world of liquid lipsticks and my oh my this hasn’t disappointed. I haven’t even had this long and already it is above so many other liquid lipsticks in my collection. I love the packaging and that it just isn’t in just a standard tube. Like seriously, it’s cute. Again, a doe foot applicator but it has a flat angle on one side to assist with application.

It is so easy to apply and again dries fairly quickly. The wear of this is incredible and even after a lot of eating and drinking it is still going strong and still on my lips after a 10 hour day. It’s incredibly comfortable and half the time I don’t even realise I’m wearing anything. Urgh, I just love it and it’s just something that it my new obsession. Seriously L’Oreal you have well and truly impressed me. They need to bring more shades of these out though as at present there is a lot of them out there 😦

REVIEW| Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash

Hello my lovelies,

For me, Garnier is a brand that I have loved for around 8 years. They have such a broad range of products depending on your skin type at really affordable prices. If you have been reading my blog for a little while that I absolutely adore Garnier’s Micellar Water. Seriously, best micellar water I have ever tried and I will never use anything else – it just works for me, stick to what you know!

This year Garnier have brought out their Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash and of course due to how much I love their micellar water I just knew I needed to get my hands on this. I have had it for a while I must say but only in recent months have I tried it out as I have been using other products. Gel face washes are my favourite, I much prefer the texture and feel that they do a better job. In my head I just knew it was a no brainer that I would love this..

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I will start off with the packaging because this is obviously the first thing that you take in when looking at the product. I love it, it continues with the look of their original Micellar Water – who doesn’t love a spot of pink in their skincare!? I also adore the fact that it comes with a pump, small things like this please me – it just makes my life so much easier.

When I first saw the product, it definitely looked like a gel based formula and that is exactly what I wanted. However, when I first used the product I was so disappointed with the consistency.  It was very watery and nothing like a gel formula which is what I was expecting. You have to use the product very quickly especially if you use this in the shower like me. It really is a very water based face wash, which is fine but don’t promote it as a gel formula.

The product itself works well, it definitely cleans my face and leaves the same feeling as when I use the micellar water – you can really tell that they are from the same family of products which I love. It really is perfect for rubbing all over you face and not worrying too much about going in your eyes and mouth because it is perfume free and is even suitable for sensitive skin.

Now, I love grapes I love the taste and the smell so when I saw that it contained grape extract I was really impressed. It is a fresh scent which is on the slightly sweet scale – perfect especially for a face wash. I honestly think this smells awful – this is not a grape scent and not the sort of grapes I have ever come into contact with. It has such an artificial smell and just smells of alcohol – it’s personally not something I want on my face.

Overall, I am completely on the fence about this product. I was expecting something so different and for it to feel like the complete opposite in texture and smell it just puts me off. It is a really good product – it does was it says it will do, wash your face. But, I just don’t think the product is for me and I can’t get over how disappointed I am every time I use it. I wanted to fall in love with the product but I’m not and in fact quite far from it. I mean of course I will continue to finish it but I know I won’t be repurchasing it. It’s just such a shame – the first Garnier product that I have tried that just doesn’t hit the mark..

You can purchase the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash here

Let me know on your thoughts on this product if you have tried it. Also, can you recommend any gel face washes that I may enjoy?

Sephora Haul

Hello my lovelies,

So I recently went on a trip to Paris, it was truly magical and I fell completely in love with the Parisian culture. The architecture was just beautiful and I was truly taken aback. I did everything from trying snails to going to the top of the Eiffel Tower and I loved every moment. Obviously I soon realised when the trip was booked that I would be able to FINALLY visit a Sephora. I have wanted to visit Sephora for the longest time so I knew while I was in Paris I would obviously take a trip there, or two..

I was taken aback by the store, I mean I expected it to be full of goodies but my oh my it was heaven. I didn’t know where to look or what to get my hands on. The first Sephora store I went into I didn’t actually come out with an awful lot because I was just spoilt for choice and I got far too overwhelmed. When I left the store I had a long hard think about what I wanted to pick up so I went into a different store and picked up some serious goodies – I cannot wait to try them out!

Sephora – Grey Clay Mask see here

I couldn’t go to Sephora without trying their face masks! I have heard so many good things about them I just knew I needed to pick up a few. The first one I picked up was the Grey Clay Mask. Clay masks are by far my favourite masks to use. For my skin being oily I much prefer a mask that is going to suck some of the moisture out and clear out my pores. This says it has 4 uses in the packet so I’ll be sure to let you know what I think.

Sephora – Cream Lip Stains in 03 Strawberry Kissed and 13 Marvelous Mauve see here

Another product that I just knew I needed to pick up, I was spoilt for choice on the shades I didn’t realise how many they had! In the end I chose a beautiful red and a mauve shade which I am in love with. I am so excited to try this out especially being a massive liquid lipstick lover. Let’s hope they live up to their expectations!

Sephora – Supreme Cleansing Oil see here

I have never tried a cleansing oil before, I’m not really to sure why but I have never been drawn to any. I saw this in the skincare section and decided to try it out, what’s the harm right. I will admit as soon as I brought this I tried it out because I was so intrigued by it. On first impressions I blooming love it – why have I never tried one before!? I feel like this is going to last me ages because a little truly goes a long way! I will be doing a full review on this why I have tried it out a little more don’t you worry.

Benefit – GALifornia Blush see here

I have actually wanted this blush for the longest time and for whatever reason I have never picked it up here in the UK. When I was walking to the till, I saw the mini version and I just knew I needed to pick it up. There is something that really is so captivating for a product to be a mini. I have no idea why but I wanted to buy all the mini’s they are just so god damn cute!

Original Beauty Blender – see here

I needed a new one of these as my few I have are currently on their last legs and again I saw this at the till and picked it up. I just don’t think I have tried a different beauty blender that really does do the job as good as this one.

Sephora – Algae Face Mask see here

Another face mask, I know I just knew even before I went to Paris that I wanted to try out their face masks. Purifying and detoxifying – perfect! My skin has not been brilliant recently so I am hoping this will help to bring my skin back to normal. I always feel with travelling your skin feels worse anyway so I will be trying this pretty soon!

Sephora – Triple Action Gentle Make Up Remover Gel

For whatever reason I can’t find this on the Sephora website – sorry guys! Now I have tried micellar waters and cleansers but never a gel. When in Sephora I just thought what’s the harm in trying this little baby out. I will be sure to reviewing this as it isn’t something I have come across before, keep your eyes peeled!

BECCA – Glow on the Go Shimmering Skin Perfector, Opal see here

I knew I wanted to get the shimmering skin perfecter in Opal for the longest time as I absolutely adore my Champagne Pop shade. I nearly picked this up days before I went to Paris but thought, no I’ll get it while I am out there and I did! I love this little set as I also get to try out the liquid version – win win in my eyes!

Sephora – Green Tea Face Mask see here

My last face mask I promise! As I mentioned I have not had the best of time with my skin especially with blemishes so this one is right up my street – Mattifying & Anti Blemish. Let’s hope it sorts my skin out. Slightly annoyed that if it works I will have to wait a long period of time to get this again..

I also received a few testers which includes: Rexaline Derma – Comfort Cream, L’Envol de Cartier Eau De Toilette, Twilly d’Hermes Eau De Parfum and Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

That’s all folks – I had the best experience and I am so excited to try all these products out! I will be writing a review on some of these products to let you know my thoughts, keep your eyes peeled!

What are your favourite products to pick up in Sephora?
